| We’re going green! We’re committed to making this apartment community as environmentally friendly as possible. To meet that goal, we’ve implemented recycling programs and creative strategies to reduce our carbon footprint and promote environmentally friendly living. The good news for you: As we get greener, our residents get greener too! |

| Here are some of the many ways our apartment community promotes environmentally friendly living: |

- Purchasing renewable energy credits — We’re committed to supporting renewable energy by purchasing renewable energy credits (RECs). This important step helps us meet our commitment to reduce our environmental impact. Plus, when you choose to live here, you reduce your environmental footprint, because the electricity you use is being offset with renewable energy credits. - Recycling plastics, paper, and glass — We offer an on-site Single Stream recycling center for all residents.
- Saving energy — We use only energy-efficient lighting such as compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) in common areas, including the clubhouse, fitness center, and apartment models. In addition, we are implementing on-site recycling for CFLs.
- Using green building practices — Wherever possible, we incorporate environmentally eco-friendly practices in our apartment renovations. For example, we use green materials in our finishes such as Nylon 6 recycled Shaw Green Certified carpet and recycled glass backsplashes in renovated kitchens. In addition, we recycle waste materials and use no volatile organic compound (VOC) paints in our renovations.
- Spreading the (paperless) news — Instead of posting paper notices throughout our community to announce news and events, our property managers send email notices whenever possible. Also, our property brochure is printed on recycled paper.
- Purchasing only eco-friendly carpet — We only buy carpet with 100% recyclable Nylon 6 fiber. This new technology enables the carpet manufacturer to turn old carpet into new, again and again. This carpet offers the same great look, quality, and performance.
- Saving water — We're always on the lookout for ways to conserve water, and we are incorporating environmentally eco-friendly practices in our landscape maintenance. For example, we use rain sensors to avoid over-watering when it rains!
